Here at 1904Labs, we have a makerspace. It is a place where people can come and work on projects, learn new skills, and collaborate with others. We have a variety of tools and equipment available for use, including 3D printers and some other kit.

Getting Started

If you’re new to the makerspace, you’ll want to get a few things set up before you start using the space.

Safety

Safety is a big deal in the makerspace. We have a few rules that we follow to keep everyone safe. You can read more about them in the safety section.

Failures

If you mess up, you’re in good company. We’ve all messed up at some point.

If your part messes up, be sure to stick it on the fail wall. You can also leave a note on the wall with your name and a description of what happened.

If you break something, don’t worry about it. Just leave an issue on the Jira board, and also send us a slack in the #makers slack channel slack channel, and we’ll get it fixed.
